A roller coaster ride from start to finish Shia LaBeouf as a ne’er do well caught up in a complicated plot threatening the security of the nation. Michelle Monaghan (reminding me of Evangeline Lilly for some reason) is a stranger along for the ride as the two are thrown together inadvertently. Lots of action with strong sci-fi underpinnings. The cast is rounded out by Billy Bob Thornton (doing his best Tommy Lee Jones impersonation), Rosario Dawson and Michael Chiklis. You don’t get much of a chance to catch your breath in this distant cousin to Colossus tFP.
